A then-record 346 teams signed up for the 2019 State competion.  The first week of March saw a 118-year blizzard hit Central Oregon closing all area school districts.  While this put a stop to the the 2019 Girls Championship, and it's 122 registered squads, the 2019 Boys State tourney saw some of its tightest competition in seven years.
