The NorCal Middle School Basketball Championship is a qualifier-based tournament featuring the top teams in the region.

- 4 game minimum
- Open, Competitive and Rec Divisions
- NFHS rules including stop clock games
- College and HS certified Officials
- All games will be live streamed
- All-Tournament teams will be named

Game sites include the $34 million Roebbelen Center @ the Grounds in Roseville. With 12 hardwood courts under one roof, the Roebbelen Center is widely regarded as the top venue on the West Coast!

We are also excited to announce All-Tournament Teams for State 2026! Teams reaching the semifinals or otherwise finishing in the top 4 of their divisions (4-, 5-, and 8-team divisions) will have the opportunity to name one or more of their athletes to the All-Tournament Team!

Be sure to check your coach packet when you arrive on-site for further information.

Teams earn their spot at State by placing 1st or 2nd in an Official Qualifier Tournament or League. Thank you for supporting one of these quality annual events... and be sure to say "Hello" to our State Reps attending the Qualifier Championship games!

Eligibility

All team rosters are verified by the State Eligibility Committee prior to tournament play. Last season, we reviewed over 21,000 Proof of Eligibility documents!

GRANDFATHER EXCEPTION:  Any player who participated in a prior State tournament is automatically approved for 2026 play and does not need to re-submit Proof of Eligibility (POE) documents.  However, ALL players, returning or not, are required to have a new Parent/Guardian Waiver submitted for 2026.

State Reps serve as local connections between Qualifier Tournaments and States. You'll spot our orange-clad Reps at Qualifier Events throughout the season, awarding top teams with their Gold Ticket invitation to States and answering questions from parents and coaches.
