The 13th Annual Oregon Middle School Basketball Championship is growing closer and more than 300 teams are expected back to the High Desert this season, where families experience an exciting season-ending getaway. After a long season of seeing the same teams, our coaches and players love the fresh competition featured at the Oregon Middle School Basketball Championship. No other event in the state offers such a wide geographic range of school-based teams!
We’re excited to be working with Public Address Announcer Ben Baker who will be working all main court Championship Games at Ridgeview HS (Girls Weekend) and Summit HS (Boys Weekend)! Ben has 25 years of experience behind the mic and currently works Summit High School home games, home of the Storm whose Boys team won the 2024 5A High School Basketball State Title!
And new for 2025 Girls Weekend - Beautiful Sisters High School added as a venue along with the high schools and middle schools in Redmond!

2024-25 State Qualifiers:
Our State Tournament Committee is thrilled to announce an exciting list of
Qualifiers for this season.
Teams earn their bid to State by placing 1st or 2nd at an official QUALIFIER TOURNAMENT or LEAGUE.
As you may know, State Basketball Championship operates the largest Qualifier-based tournaments in the country with many events in the 200-600+ team range. To receive an invite to STATE, teams must typically finish 1st or 2nd in an officially recognized State Qualifier tournament or league. Many teams do not know, however, there exists another path to compete at STATE called an “At Large” qualification.
Is your team from a rural area, making it difficult to attend one of our official State Qualifiers? Has your team come up just short of qualifying at a few Qualifiers? Has your team finished in 1st or 2nd place at a non-Qualifier tournament that featured competitive play similar to an official State Qualifier? If so, consider applying to receive an At Large bid to STATE. Simply click on this At Large Application link and answer a few questions to make your case to be considered for an invite to STATE. Our Executive Committee meets once a week to consider all applications.

Last season, we heard from a number of teams that missed out staying at their favorite hotel or resort. The popular choices sell out early, so this season, teams should consider booking their rooms IMMEDIATELY! ….. If you book a room and your team does not qualify for State, then Event Connect will refund the $6.75 nightly room deposit paid on its website.
We have secured some great Central Oregon properties and trust you’ll enjoy your adventure to the top destination in Oregon!
We've eliminated the handling of cash and credit cards to reduce long lines at our tournament facilities. As a result, tickets (also called "Add-Ons") must be purchased prior to the tournament through our event management partner, EventConnect.
Baden is the official ball of all State Basketball Championship events!
