Greetings from Ann Arbor! While the weather has certainly changed of late, things are heating up in the gym. Basketball team tryouts are winding down and 2025 State Qualifiers have tipped off. Be sure to lock in the dates for the 2025 Michigan Middle School Basketball Championship in Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti-Brighton. To accommodate the continued amazing growth and expected 180+ teams in 2025, we’ve split the Championship into two great weekends, one for Girls (Feb 28-Mar 2) and one for Boys (Mar 7-9).

State Reps are your local connection between Qualifier Tournaments and the State Championship. You'll spot them wearing bright orange shirts at tournaments throughout the season, awarding qualifying teams with their Gold Ticket invitation to State, and answering questions from parents.

Ronald Jackson
Ronald grew up in Detroit and currently lives in Ypsilanti. He is a full time student at Eastern Michigan University where he is studying Marketing. He has played basketball all of his life and it is his favorite sport. Outside of being a State Rep, Ronald likes to play video games, hang with friends and family and also playing basketball in his free time.
Christopher Richardson
Christopher was born and raised in Detroit and has always had a love for basketball, playing as a kid until high school. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Sports Management degree. After graduating, he worked for youth sport organizations and college universities athletic departments. Now, he is a real estate agent and enjoys working out, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Shannon Crowley
Shannon was born and raised in the small northern Wisconsin town of Superior, until she relocated to Battle Creek in her early twenties. Shannon credits team sports with helping her get through her middle school and high school years. She is now a coach for her niece's middle school softball team and is loving it. Outside of being a State Rep, Shannon works as a remote CSR for Pandora Jewelry and loves her volunteer time spent at Richland Animal Rescue. She also loves riding her motorcycle which she calls her "wind therapy".
