Meet your State Representatives!

State Reps are your local connection between Qualifier Tournaments and the State Championship. You'll spot them wearing bright orange shirts at tournaments throughout the season, awarding qualifying teams with their Gold Ticket invitation to State, and answering questions from parents.

Marie Wagner

Marie is a dedicated basketball enthusiast with a rich history in the game. She embarked on her basketball journey as a forward/center/post, showcasing her skills at various schools, including Chilhowee R-IV. Her commitment to the sport led her to become an Assistant Volunteer Women’s Basketball Manager at the University of Central Missouri, where she immersed herself in the world of collegiate basketball. Marie also took on the role of Volunteer Basketball Coach for Upwards Basketball, coaching 4th-6th grade girls and honing her leadership and mentoring skills.

Tyson Foster

Tyson, hailing from Kansas City, with a special bond to Dallas, is pursuing Sports Management at Southern New Hampshire University. Tyson fell in love with basketball during Dwyane Wade's 2006 Finals victory and has been devoted to the sport since, even working as a referee at UCM. Tyson's job as a radiology transporter in a hospital is a daily adventure, exposing them to the unexpected. Besides sports, Tyson enjoys hanging with friends, video games, football, and has a fascination for Urban Planning.

Jessica Simpson

Jessica was born and raised in Wichita and still lives there with her family. She attended and played basketball at Southeast High School, where she met her husband and they have 7 children, who are all athletes! Jessica played basketball for 15 years and then went on to officiating for 13 years and still loves to attend games as a fan. Coaching is next on her list! Outside of being a State Rep, she is starting her own licensed daycare, loves to cook, read and play games with her husband and children.
