The 5th Annual New England Basketball Championship is a qualifier-based tournament for travel/community/school teams only and features top competition from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.
To accommodate the continued growth of this regional event to over 200 teams, over 20+ courts are needed. Unfortunately, there are not that many courts available in a single weekend. As a result, we are splitting things into two great events: a Girls Championship Weekend and a Boys Championship Weekend! The Championships will again feature:
- 4 game minimum
- Town/Travel/School teams only. No AAU teams.
- NFHS rules including stop clock games
- College and HS certified Officials
- All games will be live streamed
The 2025 Regional Championship featured teams from throughout New England offering fresh competition for all squads. Players hailed from 256 zip codes and 222 different towns across the region. Check out the map above with all of the hometowns represented at States 2025! #SeeYouAtStatesNE
Teams earn their spot at the Regional Championship by placing 1st or 2nd in an official Qualifier Tournament or League, or through an At-Large Bid to States.

All team rosters are verified by the States Eligibility Committee prior to tournament play. Last season, we reviewed over 21,000 Proof of Eligibility documents!
GRANDFATHER EXCEPTION: Any player who participated in a prior Regional Championship tournament is automatically approved for 2025 play and does not need to re-submit Proof of Eligibility (POE) documents. However, ALL players, returning or not, are required to have a new Parent/Guardian Waiver submitted for 2025.
State Reps serve as local connections between Qualifier Tournaments and States. You'll spot our orange-clad Reps at Qualifier Events throughout the season, awarding top teams with their Gold Ticket invitation to States and answering questions from parents and coaches.
