What time do doors open?
Doors open 30 minutes before the first game of the day, each day of the tournament. If the first game is at the venue you play at is 5:00pm, then doors open at 4:30pm. Please do not arrive earlier than this, as we need this time to get the courts setup and ready to go!
When is the State Tournament schedule released?
The schedule is released Tuesday evening of tournament week. The schedule can be found on our website and SportsEngine Tourney once released.
Will my team play on Friday?
Almost all teams will play Friday (first game is at 5pm) and the ones that don’t will likely play before 11:30am Saturday. All teams play at least one game Saturday and Sunday.
Do all teams play 4 games?
Yes. Check the bottom of the bracket to see the games your team could possibly play in.
Do coaches and players get in for free?
Yes. 2 coaches (must be listed on registration) get in for free and all players get in for free all weekend at all facilities.
Can I purchase tickets at the tournament?
Tickets are ONLINE ONLY. No cash or credit card transactions at tournament facilities for tickets. Please visit our 'Tickets' FAQ page for more information.
How do I see the tournament schedule?
Brackets are online only and there will not be printed brackets at the tournament. Schedules are on our website and SportsEngine Tourney (formerly known as Tourney Machine) once released. Download the SportsEngine Tourney app for quicker access.

Do all players on a team need to attend the same middle school?
No. While our events are titled as your state's 'middle school basketball championship', athletes must simply be middle school-aged! Some state competitions include 3rd through 5th grades as well. See our Eligibility rules for more detail.
